Dry mica tape has been developed for the vacuum-pressure impregnation (VPI) process of electric motors. It is produced using various adhesives, carrier (backing) materials, and catalysts, depending on customer requirements. The tape exhibits excellent impregnation properties due to its low adhesive content.
Our special SKF type contains Nomex fibrids within the mica paper. These Nomex fibrids hold the mica particles together, ensuring the integrity of the structure.
