Calcined Muscovite Mica Tape
Muscovite mica tape is used in fire-resistant cable constructions. It is produced by combining muscovite mica paper with carrier (support) materials that are extremely flexible and can be easily wrapped around narrow conductors.
Calcined mica has been subjected to heat treatment to remove impurities. Thus, it is suitable for use as a heat-resistant barrier material in fire-resistant cables and in applications requiring high-temperature insulation.
