PT100 is a platinum resistance temperature detector (RTD) used in electric motors to monitor the temperature of windings, bearings, and the motor housing. Its nominal resistance at 0°C is 100 Ω. As the temperature increases, the resistance value increases linearly and reproducibly, ensuring accurate and reliable temperature measurement.
PT100 sensors are widely used in motor protection, thermal monitoring, and safety applications. They are compatible with motor protection relays, PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and industrial control systems. The typical operating temperature range is between -50°C and +200°C, depending on the sensor’s construction.
