(Polyester Resin Impregnated Glass Tape)
PG-F and PG-H are produced by bonding high-tensile glass yarns arranged in parallel with polyester resin. PG-F is used for Class F insulation; PG-H is used for Class H insulation.
These tapes are supplied in B-stage (semi-cured) form and transform into an insulation material with high tensile strength and low elongation after heat curing.
PG tapes are used as a substitute for steel banding in armature coils of DC motors, and also in banding applications for dry-type and resin-molded transformers.
PG tapes must be stored below 10°C and brought to room temperature before use. The shelf life is approximately 6 months at 20°C and 12 months at 10°C.
