ASGT is a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape produced by applying a heat-resistant silicone-based adhesive onto a silicone rubber-coated glass fabric. It provides strong adhesion on most surfaces and forms a fire-resistant ceramic layer when combustion occurs during the plasma spray welding process.
It is used as a masking tape in plasma and flame spray applications, grit blasting processes, and semiconductor cleaning processes.
